Ringing Out 2007

Thanks to everybody who attended our Christmas event, and to Julie & her family who hosted and fed us and made us feel so welcome. And to the sponsors identified here who contributed prizes for our round-robin tournament.

Just a reminder that the club resumes again on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 in our usual comfy corner of the Central Library’s 3^rd-floor Arts Dept. Newcomers are always welcome.

Ratings Freeze Until 2007/09

Because many of our members choose to not attend during the summer months, ratings play has been discontinued until the Fall. However, the club will continue to try and have regular Thursday meetings over the summer, the format being unlimited sessions instead of the usual 7-pt. matches. You can access information about the individual sessions as they progress by clicking on the link in the “Pages” section of the sidebar.

caveat:
I’m committed to attending the monthly meeting of the Glen Cairn & Pond Mills Community Association which is typically held on the 3rd Thursday of every month. So you probably shouldn’t anticipate my attendance on that Thursday evening. But even on other Thursdays, just to be sure, it’d probably be best to email me a day or two in advance if you plan on attending; that way, there will be a better chance that you’ll have somebody to compete against.

Also, depending on the weather, we may sometimes decide to play outside on the library patio, so you may wish to first have a look there before proceeding up to our usual haunt on the 3rd floor.
